Dissolve yeast in warm water and wait 10 minutes until it’s frothy. Stir in sugar, milk, egg, salt, and flour to make a soft dough.
Knead for 6 to 8 minutes on a floured surface until the mix becomes smooth. Place dough in a well oiled bowl and let it rise 1 hour until the dough has doubled in volume.
After an hour, punch down dough and knead with garlic and pinch off small handfuls of dough (more or less the size of a tennis ball)
Place your dough ball on a tray and allow to rise until the size has doubled about 30 minutes.
Roll one ball of dough out into a thin circle and place dough on grill until puffy and lightly browned.
Brush uncooked side with butter, and cook until browned, 2 to 4 minutes. Continue the process until all the naans have been prepared.
