In a bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the yeast.

Add the egg then the warm milk, little by little, while continuing to mix.

Once the mixture is nice and smooth, cover the bowl with a damp cloth and leave to rest in a warm place for 45 minutes.

Mix again using a spatula. Leave to rest for a further 45 minutes.

Finally add the softened butter and mix until completely combined.

Melt a knob of butter in a pan. Pour the batter in so it is 3 to 4mm thick.

Brown the blinis on both sides.
