Turkish Fried Calzone submitted by Samreen Hamid, is a crispy twist on the traditional calzone, filled with savory minced meat, onions, and spices, a popular street food and appetizer.

Turkish fried calzone

 1 cup all-purpose flour
 ½ tsp salt
 1 tsp Saf-instant yeast
 1 tbsp sugar
 4 tbsp oil
For the filling:
 200 g chicken mince
 4 tbsp oil
 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
 ½ tsp salt
 ½ tsp black pepper
 2 tsp oregano
 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
 2 tbsp chopped onion
 4 tbsp chopped bell pepper
 2 tbsp sweet corn
 6 tbsp shredded mozzarella cheese

Start by kneading the dough with lukewarm water and put it to rise, covered for 1 hour.

Punch down the dough and roll it out.

Dampen the edges with water.

Saute the chicken mince in a pan with oil.

Add ginger garlic paste, salt, black pepper, tomato paste, and oregano along with chopped coriander leaves.

Mix all these ingredients thoroughly.

Add chopped onion, chopped bell pepper and sweet corn

Add shredded mozzarella cheese into the blend and mix everything well

Place the filling in the center and fold the dough over to form a crescent shape.

Use a fork to prick the corners

Fry over medium-low heat until it turns golden brown.
