Your Saf helper for this recipe:
- 1 sachet Saf-instant yeast 11g
- 300g flour
- 1 egg yolk
- 100ml milk
- 50ml water
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 tbsp finely chopped walnuts
1- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and the Saf-instant yeast. Add the water and milk and knead for several minutes.
2- Add the salt, oil and the walnuts and knead for a further 15 mins until the dough comes away from the sides of the bowl, then shape into a ball shape.
3- Cover with a clean tea towel and leave to rise for 1h.
4- Next, take the risen dough and work it energetically into a ball again.
5- Transfer dough into a greased dish.
6- Leave to rise again for 1h.
7- Using a pastry brush, coat the dough with the beaten egg.
8- Bake in oven for 35 mins at 200-220°C.
