Hamburger buns

Saf-instant Red 11g

Serves 6
- 1 sachet Saf-instant yeast 11g
- 500g flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 250ml warm milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil


1- In a bowl, combine the flour, oil, sugar, egg yolk, salt and the Saf-instant yeast. Gradually pour in the warm milk until a soft dough is formed. 
2- Leave to rest for 15 mins, then knead and leave to rest for a further 15 mins. 
3- Shape the dough into balls.
4- Transfer the dough balls into previously greased metal bun moulds, or if not available, on a baking tray covered with grease-proof paper.
5- Leave to rise and then bake at 240°C. 
6- Once buns are cooked, garnish with minced beef rounds, slices of cheese and tomato to create hamburgers
